Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.

Welcome, dear students of the Faculty of Pharmacy – Helwan University.

Community service and environmental development are among the most important objectives of the faculty, as they serve as a link between the scientific and research aspects and the societal and environmental dimensions. Through community service and environmental development, the faculty can establish connections and coordination between itself and various healthcare and community sectors.

The sector also works on activating the participation of faculty members and students in various community activities offered by the faculty in accordance with societal needs.

The Faculty of Pharmacy always strives to enhance its role in community service and environmental development through:

• Contributing to solving various health and societal issues by organizing seminars, awareness campaigns, and medical convoys in areas surrounding the university, as well as within the campus, with the participation of students, faculty members, and their assistants.
• Participating in various social occasions, such as Mother’s Day celebrations, Orphan’s Day, and others.
• Identifying societal and environmental problems and attempting to communicate with relevant entities within and outside the university to find successful and effective solutions.
• Maintaining the safety of the internal environment of the faculty, rationalizing resource usage, and activating the Crisis and Disaster Committee within the faculty.
• Encouraging faculty members, their assistants, and students to actively participate in community services and increase their role in raising awareness among the surrounding community.
• Establishing partnerships between the faculty and various relevant institutions to train students in different specialized fields to prepare them for the job market.
• Conducting surveys on the needs and satisfaction levels of societal stakeholders regarding the faculty’s activities to ensure the faculty remains engaged with the surrounding community.

I invite all students to participate and join us in all the community and environmental activities offered by the faculty and to benefit from its services so that we can present the faculty in an honorable and distinguished manner in the field of community service and environmental development.
